Afghanistan central bank governor, c has stated that the US left too quick and he wishes the country had been left with more time to plan the US troops’ withdrawal.
Ahmady revealed this to BBC, stating that Americans had the right to leave even though most Afghans wished they had stayed.
He said there should have been a “longer timeline to implement it”, while rejecting President Biden’s assertion that the Afghan military had failed to fight for its country.
The bank’s governor said, “I wouldn’t qualify this as a military victory for the Taliban.
“I would qualify this as perhaps an intelligence victory, a victory where they were able to convince or make deals with people to surrender.”
