Job vacancies in the US have hit a fresh record in June amid rumor that the country continues to face a labour shortage.

Figures from the US labor department show that Job openings jumped by 590,000 to 10.1 million on the last day of the month.

JPMorgan analyst, Peter McCrory speaking on the development said, “The ratio of openings to hires, despite easing in June, remained at historically elevated levels”.

US unemployment jumped to 14.8% during the start of the coronavirus pandemic but it seems the economy is recovering.
